... and it feels funny to know that on 2nd Jan we're not going back to school and we're not going to attend lessons together as a class.

I was re-reading my LJ entries of 2006-2007. I think I was a lot closer to the class in J1, cause a lot of my entries were about 6G and they were mostly happy entries. In J2, I think I got a bit distant from you guys cause of CCA commitments, and then suddenly I felt so detached that I didn't hang so close with the class anymore. For a while I was afraid, and I could take a hint several times that I wasn't wanted around you know?

When Mrs Ong made us do the balloon thing and then asked what we had to say about the class, she didn't ask me what I thought. And I didn't feel like raising my hand to say what I thought, but I've decided to say it now.
Dear 06S6G, you guys were the first normal class I've been a part of for a long time. Ok, maybe a bit abnormal in hyperactivity but I think normal in every typical Hwa Chong way. You have been a class where I could proudly proclaimed I belonged to, but yet you've also been a class I've been afraid of, possibly because I don't understand your take on interpersonal relationships very well. I think what I'm typing here sounds very vague, but I don't really want to go into detail here; let's just say I got a little upset sometimes with the prejudiced remarks against certain parties, but that's all over now, so nothing more should be said about it. And sometimes I feel a little left out in class because I don't belong to any clique, though it's probably because it's my fault for being antisocial when I'm tired out from dance or soccer or fac com.
But when I read all my past entries about the good times we had together, playing pool, FoS, exchanging xmas presents and little gifts with each other, even the funny conversations we have in class - I think to myself: Yea I had a great time in this class. And all these memories probably undid all the misgivings I had about our class.

In short, I love (what an excessive proclamation of affection) you all and I will miss all of you. A lot. There are times when I wish I could have been closer to you guys, but it's too late ya? But it has been good fun with all of you for the past 2 years.

okay anyway, i've been checking out the forums, and i've narrowed down the things that u all can do from that list that daphne posted.

the picture that i posted is what i got from one of the forums. i think it gives a rough guide of the prices. its from one of the resorts, but i guess probably the resorts are all the same price. they look OKAY to me lar. i mean, don talk about the sailing and the hydrocross(whatever that is) stuff lor. snorkelling seems quite fun!

tanjung pinang ($50, 90 mins there, 6 hours there, hire car and driver. Its a local area, so basically its where the locals live. It usually will take up on entire day. In case u guys are not sure, the resort area is a special economic zone, meaning its separated from the rest of the island. I read one post in the forums saying that they actually have the military guarding the resort area. :s)

tennis (i think this would only appeal to some. If i'm not wrong, this would probably be free if u guys bring your own rackets and balls)

banana boat (my sis tried before she says its quite fun, not sure whats a banana boat though)

moutain trekking (for the more adventourous kind)

shopping tour (i'm quite skeptical about this, i go read the forums they always say they will bring u to this place called pasar oleh oleh thats a tourist trap)

swimming and jacuzzi (free)

kayaking (everybody seems to say its pretty fun, but i think chris will violently object. Lol.)

all kinds of sports activities (i checked, most of them are pretty cheap apparently. If u don havt the equipment, u can loan.)

as for how much money to bring, i would say $350 would be enough. okay this is my estimate arh, im not saying that all of u must bring $350. breakfast is provided everyday. but lunch and dinner have to get ourselves. i was thinking maybe to save money, we can save on the lunch, sitll thinking of how though. and btw this post is not complete yet, im still ironing out details. will edit this post again later.

and one more thing, the ferry terminal is at tanah merah terminal. sorry for the mix up last night. i'll tell u guys when to meet again. *edit* lets meet at 8.30 at tanah merah mrt, because we need to check in at 9.30. the trip takes an hr from the mrt to the terminal.

sorry for this recent news blackout, i've been pretty busy. anyway, im going to post the details of the class trip for u guys.

erm okay our departure time is at 1105am on sat. so i suggest we meet at 9 at harbourfront mrt? its much easier that way. den we wont have to rush or ath, and also because we're supposed to check in 1.5 hrs before the thing.

den we come back on 28th, the ferry leaves bintan at 4.30pm.

oh and btw, if im not wrong, the activities at the resort u need to pay one, but i'll check that out tmr.
in case u guys need to tell ur parents, we're staying at bintan lagoon resort.
okay for the real exact details on what to do, please gimme and regina some time to iron them out, i'll put up another post tmr. this info is as much as i can muster for now. =)

I just went to ZUJI travel website and here’s what I got:
Bali 3D/2N fr $468
Phuket 3D/2N fr $258
Manado 3D/2N fr $518 (but I don’t know where/what Manado isK)

Take note all price start FROM a certain limit lah. That means it’s probably waay more than that. But no fear! I don’t think the costs will be sky high. The website got say prices include air + hotel + taxes + surcharges blah blah. And the airlines in the package are all more renowned ones – SIA, Cathay Pacific, etc.

hello everybody! im here again to post more details about the class tripp. =))

erm i checked out the hotels already. here are the few links.

okay i bet most of u all never bothered to click on the links. lol. so i shall summarise everything for you right here. erm.. basically a standard room costs around $108 for a day. its not a bad holiday. there's the facilities quite a standard hotel. swimming pools, nxt to the beach etc. its 30 minutes from the International Airport, 30 minutes from Denpasar, capital city of Bali.

erm bintan is much more expensive. it costs around $200 a night over there. u guys can check out the details over here.

so i chcked out on the air tickets to bali, depensar. the cheapest comes from garuda indonesia. at around $290 for both round tickets, but i think we would value our lives at a higher price than that. so singapore is offering to give us more security if we are willing to pay $385 for the round tickets. of course the ticket is economy class. i don suppose anybody wants to take business class.

so assuming we all head over to bali.. for 3 days 2 nights.. its around.. $709 for accmodation and airfare. i think the price im quoting right now is kinda high. so maybe $709 is around the upper limit of the possible costs. im quite sure if we look for a travel agent we can get a much better deal.

*edit* i just chcked on the net. there are actually 3 day 2 night package tours by travel agents that cost only like $399, but they only last till 30th november. so i am quite optimistic that our $709 is quite a high figure. *

yeaa.. so since our date is finalised as 5,6,7th of november. i suggest we faster faster book and can get the rooms yea? on monday i'll circulate a list for u all to write your name if u all are going. i want to get the thigns booked by next friday latest can? chop chop settle. =))

there's a price list for the 5N cruise (the one u proposed), 3N cruise and 2N cruises.. click on the links above (all superstar virgo i should think) ... some early bird promotional offer thingy... the thing is, after comparing the dates.. i think for the 5 night one, the promotion is for only up till november (they only gave a few dates for this cruise.. which is different from www.starcruises.com so i'm assuming that they only show dates where promotion is available) and it costs about $900++ (the cheapest) so i think without e promotion, it might be more than $1000++

the royal caribbean one sounds good tho... the itinerary sounds nice! phuket and langkawi... should be fun! coz got nice clean beaches and everything..

so i guess the next step would be deciding for sure how long our trip is gonna be! (5N, 4N or 3N?) and a budget that everyone agrees with... longer cruise means must pay more... and it could go up to about $1000++ ...

lol finally got my own account. anyway, alright i'm here to talk about the trip. okay.. firstly, i need to emphasize to u guys how important that this is a joint effort. i mean.. if it were a normal class outing it'll be fine probably me and regina can handle, but this is a class overseas trip and its not going to be easy for only me and regina, so if everyone chips in i'm sure things will be much easier for everyone.

- find out the activities we can do on the cruise- we definitely need a planned schedule, free and easy can be included into the schedule but i guess it would be better if there's a schedule for everyone to adhere to.

if we visit places(use the internet to search, damn efficent one)

Hi guys! I need someone who can do video editing to help me with our class video can? If not it'll be powerpoint cause I don't really know video editing and I won't have the TIME to relearn.

And most importantly - I need:

HIGH RES PHOTOS OF THE CLASS (cause the ones you guys posted are a bit small...)
VIDEOS VIDEOS VIDEOS (like, oh I dunno - Chee dancing or singing Candy Shop? and other stuff)
ANY LAST WORDS (anything you want to say to the class, teachers, blah)
SONGS TO PLAY IN THE BG (if not I'm either going to choose All Good Things Come to an End by Nelly Furtado or hmmm I dunno. Even Candyshop by 50 cent hahaha crap I got the song on my comp and it's stupidly addictive)
